Photo vs. Video for Traveling?

So photo vs. video this time around. What is better for a holiday travel? I'm going to go with video,.. or photo,... AAAA! Can't make up my mind ;)

I always have been inspired by making videos and on quite a few occasions have done so for trips... I always love the results. However I still strongly believe PHOTOGRAPHY is far superior for traveling... the process of taking videos and then editing them into a cohesive video is very labor intensive and more disruptive to the actual travel experience and what you end up with is one or two 3-5 minutes videos which while amazing are expereinced by a handful of friends and family and then never really viewed again. There is nothing remotely like the experience of going through dozens of curated photos because they engage your unique memories of the scene... you see your family standing outside a castle and it brings all kinds of memories back of the experience in your mind vs. just the preset experience of film. The ability of photos to pop up in feeds, and be shared is just so much easier and more accessible for others you want to share with. I love videography but it's a distance second to photography. For me I try to do 80% photography and hope to capture a bit of video to make a short film.

Videos. Even two sets - separate one with drone and second describing the trip with a mix of drone shots where applicable. :)

I think we have to do a mix of both, but of course, for the YouTube video, we have to make videos, mostly

I do both (photos & video) but when time pass it’s easy to watch the photos than spend time looking a video. I trying to record more videos now than before because always I taking photos and it’s good to have videos of the place and time but I’m very lazy after a trip to edit a video.

for my wedding a see most the video ( a scream to my self go away ESCCAPE but always the same happen ) Kidding, i record video on my family vacation is also away not for me but for my little son to remember is only 6 but take some picture too but less
