That's Metabo HPT's least powerful and least expensive impact. A better comparison would be the 18v Triple Hammer.

I have the 36v Metabo HPT triple hammer, and it’s a sweet impact driver.
The ergonomics are fantastic and it has a good amount of power. It’s not that much bigger than the one in this video, either.

metabo had to go through a knot in the 2nd 2by. not a fair test, imo. i'm a dewalt user.

Put it up against the 36 volt triple hammer it would destroy the dewalt

Just by specs it's not fair. I love both and have both sets. The sun compact metabo is around 1280 PSI and that DeWalt atomic is something like 1800psi. It's not even close. If that was the triple hammer or even the regular metabo impact, it would've been a lot closer

I had the DeWalt DCF850 and sold it eventually. Too disappointed, just as all the other DeWalt tools... Metabo and Hikoki are way superior. And this video is just unfair.

Metabo 1240 inch/pound vs Deawalt 1840 inch/pound that is not honesty
