ICT's Turtle Soup Simplified W/ Example 2023

ICT's turtle soup concepts isn't so confusing when you realize all it is a high tame frame POI/PD array entry on a lower time frame liquidity sweep. A 1m turtle soup (as seen in this trade) is just a 15m FVG and breaker block entry. Time and price are fractal, and understanding that is one of the most overlooked building blocks of any trading strategy whether it be ICT/SMC or not. I tried to utilize a turtle soup and a lower time frame entry model (like the 2022 model) as a pyramid spot, but wasn't given the entry so I used what price provided me and added more to my position later on in the move for an incredible trade with small(ish) size. taking off one contract at 100 points can cover a loss of over 6 contracts at 15 handles (my risk).

Excellent video which addresses the issues around spotting the liquidity pools that are likely to be of most interest. Good explanation of the concept of “engineered liquidity.” There is a lot more here that just “Turtle Soup.” ICT’s 2020 model is also discussed and you alluded to the time of day phenomena which ICT calls the “Silver Bullet” trade opportunities. The 1:30 PM time frame Easter is about the time for the “macro” that kicks in at 1:50 PM.

Just to add to your confluences, you may have your entry at equilibrium or premium, if you look at high PD array TF. Just a handsight, a little difficult to see without a fibo, but Price is supposed to rally from there once stops offloaded.

beautiful explanation... I had been noticing my most high quality setups seemed to be liquidity sweeps above old highs/low that were resting in FVGs and had no idea till today this is what ICT refers to turtle soup! Now I know on a deeper and more consistent level what i'm looking for.
