I don't think Chris Rock "regrets" his joke. He's a comedian and all this publicity is great for his carrer.
Jada was not "forced" to wear her hair bald. Many, many women wear wigs and extentions. The Kardasians wear them ALL THE TIME. Jada CHOSE to go bald...as is her right.

i like how she tries to play off what that reporter did, like it was nothing to slap him over. That's sexual harassment. In that case, he had EVERY RIGHT to smack that reporter. What he did to Chris was uncalled for

Tommy Davidson in his autobiography claims to have had an altercation with Will after a producer changed a scene that Tommy and Jada Pinkett Smith were in. The producer wanted Tommy to kiss Jada at the end of the scene which took Jada by surprise because no one told her. After the scene Will Smith came at Tommy like he did Chris Rock at the Oscars but Jada and others intervened. That didn't stop the words from flying and Tommy wanted to take it outside but Jada and Will left. And we cannot forget the 1st Aunt Viv, Janet Hubert, who did not get along with Will on the set of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Will Smith had her fired from the show and replaced with Daphne Maxwell Reid, who portrayed Aunt Viv for the rest of the show's run.

Composing himself and acting like the perfect gentleman was the worst thing Chris Rock could have done to Will. His revenge for the slap plays out every day.

Will should have handled it much differently. He could have hugged his wife at that moment, and/or prior to the show, asked that Chris Rock not target his wife. After all, they do know each other, Will knew that Chris was going to be there etc., and that IS what comedians DO. (I promise you, that if I were to shave my head, for WHATEVER reason, and go to where a comedian is performing, I can expect to be razzed. Chris, nor anybody else, was not obligated to smooch Jada's butt, so what did she expect?)
I have lost all respect for Will Smith and pretty much every celebrity that agreed that his behavior was acceptable. Chris could indeed sue Smith for this blatant assault and humiliation AND the Oscars for not ensuring Chris's security, if he chooses to do so; and probably SHOULD. ...Which I believe, is the ONLY reason that Will even apologized, but NOT to Chris FIRST. Will showed no class whatsoever in doing what he did, and his actions certainly did not set a good example as an adult, a man, an influencer or a celebrity; and turned a historically prestigious event into the equivalent of a no class episode of The Jerry Springer Show; devaluing it for those that have worked very hard to be honored at this event. More so, Will showed his weakness in character, by Jada's manipulations of him with a mere 'look'. (Will laughed at the joke until Jada gave him 'the look'.) When one is SO MANIPULATED that they are willing to enact violence on another on the 'que' of a MERE LOOK from their manipulator, that's A BIG PROBLEM!

Jada however, enjoyed basking in the ultimate in narcissistic supply and control; as she was able to manipulate Will to enact violence on Chris with a mere look in front of the whole world, and in ruining Will's reputation and devaluing his award, which will be a reminder of the incident and not his efforts as an actor forever, all while playing the victim.

Smith is physically larger and on the higher economic ladder and smacks the little guy. In my day we called that a bully. Rock is a comedian and was doing his job.

It was wrong for Will Smith to assault Chris Rock and he should be punished. Yet, it is also wrong for this video to include a clip of Will Smith defending himself after he was assaulted by a man on a red carpet and using it as evidence that his first instinct is to hit people. Poor journalism at its finest.

Honestly think your right. Chris shouldn't have said what he did but he's been talking about jade for years and he hasn't said or done anything till now. Chris could have called her out for her cheating and him taking her back.... We know who runs that house

The 64 million dollar question is, can any of this be submitted into court in a case against him? Arrested in 1989 for hurting a man, he almost lost his sight! Criminal. I've lost all respect for him.

It's interesting that when Will and Jada started up a private school and conned people to pay to send their kids there and then the parents found out that it was really being used to indoctrinate the kids into Scientology and removed their kids but no one said anything. As if that wasn't seriously messed up. Not surprised to find out the have a crap relationship, she's awful, and that he lost his mind.
