It functions as adapter, structural, and in some cases as a catalytic molecule. In Class XI you have already learnt the structures of nucleotides and the way these monomer units are linked to form nucleic acid polymers. In this chapter we are going to discuss the structure of DNA, its replication, the process of making RNA from DNA (transcription), the genetic code that determines the sequences of amino acids in proteins, the process of protein synthesis (translation) and elementary basis of their regulation

KEAM 2021 - CEE, Kerala has released the KEAM admit card 2021 for candidates who opted Delhi as exam centre on July 20. Earlier, the authorities have released KEAM 2021 admit card for all other candidates on July 17. As per the newly announced dates, KEAM 2021 will be conducted on August 5. The authorities have already concluded the KEAM 2021 registration process in online mode.

The authorities have also announced the JEE Main 2021 re-exam date. The JEE Main 2021 re-exam will be held on August 3, 4 and 5. Eligible students can download the JEE Main admit card 2021 from July 29. Note that the JEE Main re-exam will be held for only those candidates who had examination centres in Kolhapur, Palghar, Ratnagiri, Raigadh, Sindhudurg, Sangli and Satara in Maharashtra for the JEE Main exam held on 25 and 27 July 2021 and who could not appear on those dates and for JEE session 1 Bahrain candidates, who could not appear for the exam due to lockdown in February.
