Played this deck (the oldest version without Kamigawa lands) in my first ever (and only) Modern Tournament. Stole a few games, played so bad, didn't know anything about the format but i had… wait for it... A BLAST 😶‍🌫

The amulet player didn’t miss lethal they played around you having solitude or some other kind of interaction. If they had gone for slayers and you had killed titan they would have died to pact. I don’t think this is correct tho because I don’t think they should I have played around it, but it’s a common line on the turn 2. They also might have had a haste land or Boros garrison in their hand. I just think saying they missed lethal makes for a good outro but not actually true

In the modern meta 3 years ago, most people would've dealt themselves 5 damage by turn 3 anyway thanks to aggressive fetch and shock lands. If we had the current milligan rule back then, you could have had a consistent 2 card deck with 58 lands
