Who even thought that having little pockets of lava hiding all over the underground of the Nether was ever a good idea?

This was super helpful. Unfortunately, as of 1.20, a Netherite Upgrade Trim is REQUIRED to upgrade your tools and armor. They can only be found in Bastion Remnants. Existing worlds will require you to find a new Bastion Remnant that hasn’t been found yet. Good luck with that.

My experience is that skeletons spawn VERY frequently in the soul sand valley.

Hey tips for bedrock players, 1. if you are mining with explosions, then mine at y13 instead of y15 because the most ancient debris generates there in bedrock. 2. If you don't have access to fire resistance potions yet to dodge the annoying fires that can appear in front of you from bed mining, use an enchanting table with a few bookshelves and enchant your iron BOOTS with fire protection, your welcome! My mind was blown too! The fire goes out almost instantly! It's insane! Almost no damage at all, you can stack this with the other regular iron armor and it will still be very helpful and effective! 3. When you are digging, (ESPECIALLY FOR CONSOLE PLAYERS) Keep your netherrack or other block your using next to your pickaxe in your hotbar if your mining a tunnel and all the sudden, you see that glow of doom, that one block of lava, don't worry, you can just press two buttons and aim right at that lava and your safe! :] Note: if the lava outrun you in any way, you may have to back up immediately before placing that block <EDIT> 4. Instead of placing your beds like that, mine out a 1x7x2 area instead place the bed at the end and then place two netherrack in front of you. Then reach over to the the pillow of the bed and press that button to blow up the bed without getting yourself hurt very much at all. 1 point of damage at most per bed this way. You may have to use netherrack to restore your path but if you don't wanna constantly have to eat to heal up, this is the way to go. 5. Since gunpowder and sand are two expensive minecraft items for tnt, I recommend making a wool farm and always using beds if you can because they are cheaper to craft, and as long as you know what your doing while mining down there you will be fine. :] I guarantee this is even a lifesaver for hard-core minecraft players.

Great overview, as always. An advantage I've found with working in the Soulsand Valley biome, is that the caverns can turn into a rather inefficient, but workable ghast farm. Throw up some walls of netherrack here and there to break line of sight, and run around with a Looting III sword and bow in your offhand. I've collected stacks of ghast tears this way.

Thanks for taking your time and explaining fully. I just got into Minecraft recently and have used your guides to up my game a ton in a very short time. Can't wait for the next Livestream! I really appreciate you fully explaining bedrock methods even though you mainly play java. Huge W.

Quick tip for player on bedrock
0, 0 is a chunk border in the nether, so you can identify chunk borders by dividing your x and z by 16. If both evenly divide, you are at a chunk border.

In 1.19.3, shields fully block all explosions, so you can use them as extra protection during TNT mining.
Edit: According to the wiki, Soul Sand and Soul Soil have the same blast resistance and mining toughness of 0.5, a smidge more than Netherrack's 0.4.

In recent updates a shulker box in lava burns up *but drops its contents, * so netherite should no longer burn in that case. It still can’t withstand a single cactus prick, though.

You can avoid losing hp by placing a block between you and the bed and positioning to where you can barely see the bed

Awesome video. I used the strip mining technique.
Got 9 ancient debris in like 15 mins

I started my netherite farming using your original bed method, but I quickly modified it to more of what you do in this guide. The only difference is I found it was quicker to dig into the wall as far as I could and then go one more length in. At that point, dig out in all three directions as far as you can reach, place three beds and then place the slab under you. explode all three beds and keep going in a straight line from the original path you started. I found that almost every set of three beds would yield at least one ancient debris or a cluster. My record so far is 9 in one explosion (one cluster of 6 that formed an upside down V and then another cluster of 3 on the other side.

*Eyecraftmc, can you please make a "Ultimate Minecraft Biomes Guide" video, saying the each biome benefits, survival tips, how to get food in each biome and some other things? :DDD*

When placing the bed in the tunnel, break the block closest to you, in the direction of the bed, then the block under you. You should be able to rightclick the bed without taking any damage this way.

about the bed mining method. you can stay 4 blocks away instead of 3 and still click on the bed (of course after you place a block in front of you). that way you'll only take 1-2 hearts of dmg instead of 5-6 when you stand 3 blocks away

this is funny dealing with the beds. recently, my friend and I learned the hard way what happens when you try to sleep on a bed in the nether. it wasn't a fun time trying to get back to our position with no gold armor and pigs chasing us.
