Can employer force employees to be always on the camera in the times on meeting while working from home which has been so common since the Covid-19 pandemic?
The corporate that I work for has always been micro monitoring employees through video conferencing and Location tracing! Do we have the right to go against such policies where they mention that it is under their security policy!

Managers are used to being in the same room as their employees.

No these are called bad managers.

The easy solution for this is to just have daily morning stand-up sessions, similar to what people in IT do. Basically, everyone talks about what they accomplished the previous day, what obstacles are preventing from them to continue (if any), then what they plan to do tomorrow. Someone from the team notes all of these down, usually used as a way to monitor productivity. If a teammate takes longer than expected for a task, instead of them feeling hopeless, someone from the team can assist to move that task along. This increases collaboration, lessens stress, and gives managers the necessary oversight to know that weekly, monthly, quarterly (or whatever period) goals are being met.

Also, don't install tracking software on your team. Instead of doing that, give them tools/resources to empower them to finish tasks.

I feel aginst these softwares. Like if your employees does the job why to even implament software? It's systemic problem, employees feels like boss wont trust us, unease of beeing spied on in your own home, having vague productivity scores. It brings unease, anxiety, privacy concerns. Basicly on a deeper level bad practices. Even if it's not abused I feel against it. Communication is the way.

Companies just found out who was producing and who was not. They thought what time you arrived and how many breaks you took and when you left was so important because it’s important you are at you desk. Time at desk means nothing. Any role with the name manager mean the company is lost. People don’t need managers. You just need production. People deliver or they do not. No one has time to baby sit you if you want to produce or not. Managing is for the birds.

You don't need to monitor employees. You need to monitor performance, achieved results and motivation. Unless you want your boss-employee relationship to go downhill from now on, then you monitor their every move and click :)

Nice, to add probably a virtual Andon board, KPI / SLA would be a good measure, not to track but to measure - shifting the focus from "Clocking Time" to "Work Done"
