To index your WordPress site using the WordPress dashboard, follow these steps:
Install and activate a WordPress SEO plugin. There are several options available, including Yoast SEO, All in One SEO Pack, and Rank Math.
Once the plugin is activated, navigate to the SEO settings in your WordPress dashboard. This is usually located in the left-hand sidebar under the name of your SEO plugin.
From the SEO settings, look for a section related to sitemaps. Here, you should be able to generate a sitemap for your site. If you can't find this option, refer to the documentation for your SEO plugin to see how to generate a sitemap.
After you have generated your sitemap, submit it to Google Search Console. If you haven't set up a Google Search Console account, do so now. Once you've set up your account, navigate to the Sitemaps section in the left-hand sidebar, and click the "Add/Test Sitemap" button. Paste the URL of your sitemap into the text field and click "Submit."
Google will now start crawling your site and indexing your pages. This can take several days or even weeks, depending on the size of your site and how frequently it's updated.
Once Google has finished indexing your site, you can check the status by searching for your site on Google and seeing which pages are returned in the search results.
