Libre in Spanish means FREE. In this video I will show you how to find, and install LibreOffice, as well as give a few hint's on differences between LibreOffice and its Microsoft equivalent.
Student's and Faculty can usually download and use Microsoft Office 365 for free from the College/University website.
There are two problems, first once you leave the educational environment you must pay Microsoft the yearly subscription fee around $109 Canadian a year and secondly it is a 3GB download vs 300MB for LibreOffice.
So if you have limited hard drive space, or just don't want to make Microsoft any richer give LibreOffice a try, I think you'll like it.
