The positioning on the tree kept a reporting relationship: when was higher, which represented greater spirituality.

In Russia, the first Christmas decorations made of rags, straw, colored ribbons, and only later from paper and foil. Involved in this production special cardboard workshops. With the founding of the Empire of the Christmas tree decoration was unusual. So there was glass spheres with elaborate painting or with patterns (for example, Christmas trees), which was generated by a pasting with mica. The glass blowers were also refined their craft and not only gave simple spheres but formed from a wide variety of figures and shapes. For this, the still hot and soft glass beads were pressed into shape pliers in order to produce, for example, apples, grapes, pears, plums, acorns, pine cones, nuts or birds. In addition, special specimens were prepared as angels with trumpets and movable wings of glass. This particular Christmas tree decoration was usually shipped with further additions to buyers who ordered a large amount of Christmas tree decorations.
