So, they can unanimously ban an app to save their investments, but they can't ban together to do something that is ACTUALLY going to help the citizens of the United States?

It's already a disaster for mainstream western media and US government when people flock to Rednote.. it's poetic justice 😂

The migration to Red Note is hilarious. And cute, when people bond over cats and recipes in Mandarin. But this is ultimately a betrayal of the freedom of speech. 😳

The TikTok app. Has 170 million people, about 5 million businesses, plus the individuals making money and helping each other out. There has been times people are helping out other people with medical needs.
The economic impact would be pretty great if it went away!

Why they didn't ban it in 2020 like India did. Now it's so popular.

Personally I would be happy if all social media was shut down. Make people actually talk to their neighbors and have real friends again

I’m having alot of fun connecting with chinese users and learning their culture. It is not at all what the media tells us, its so beautiful. They are very diverse!! They have been super nice and welcoming as well. ❤

“Are those less a risk” shows you journalists aren’t listening to the people, those of us on TikTok and now Little Red Book.

RNC and DNC need to come to an understanding not to play politics over this and just get the ban done. No one wants to receive the backlash but it needs to get done.

Hopefully this ban will keep child influencers off social media.

Life went on before TikTok, life will go on after TikTok. I could think of another half dozen social media sites that could go away and we'd be better off

I remember when the Thai military govt blocked Facebook. It lasted four hours before the govt relented from the backlash
