I love that you included sports! I'm a musician and a writer. I also avidly lift weights and do yoga. Too many of my artist friends loathe sports and exercise and give me crap for being into it. They don't realize how much more efficiently their mind will work and create if they did even simple work outs! The power of exercise and dopamine is greatly undermined by many creative people, in my opinion!

I've had a creative block since 2009, when my ex kicked me out. I've got PTSD from the relationship itself, and that, more than anything, has done the damage. I've got to get focused again--especially on writing, which I used to do professionally--and this was a good reminder of things I can do to get my brain in gear. :)

Thank you for your helpful hints on getting out of one's creative block. I will soon be implementing them. For me there is nothing worse than the feeling of being stuck in the middle of writing a story or half way through an unfinished painting with the deadline quickly approaching. Too much pressure takes the joy out of the process.

Justine,
Thank you SO much for this wonderful video! I have been following your videos for a while, and even though I don't consider myself a visual artist, I think you've just helped me crack my problems with finishing my dissertation. I will try some of these things tomorrow! Thank you so much for your advice and for so generously sharing your tips with the world! <3

Thank you so much for your insightful and inspiring videos on a multitude of themes. You combine know-how with personality, which is very rare. This video was especially helpful even though I only express my "creative side" by writing. Keep it up :)!

Thank you, Justine, that was exactly what I needed. I'm an illustrator and after my uni deadlines I just felt dead creatively. I almost have to force myself to pick up any creative tool although I love drawing. Just hearing that I clearly need a break and that it's okay and what steps to take was very helpful. Thank you :)

Thank you Justine. Your benevolence is soothing. I live by my creativity. I refer to my creative spark as my "ha ha". If I can't find my ha ha, I stop and go have a personal day doing something that invites it back. It is like a glowing ember that can start a fire... if it ever goes out, it is such a chore to re-kindle it. Much better to check in with it often and make sure it is with me. I so very much enjoy your words and the way you present them. Smiling, George.

I find most of what you say so true to myself. 😂😂😂 I am not alone then. right now, I am writing up a research paper to get a degree.

Always love your smile and laughter. So thankful for finding this lovely channel. Bless you..

Thank you for this video Justine! I study industrial design and I'm currently in my third year. Sometimes University + creative blocks can be really overwhelming especially if you're a perfectionist like I am 😣 and it's easy to forget that taking a break even if it's a little one can be so beneficial not only for our creative projects but also for our wellbeing. Keep up the good work! Love your channel 😘

Great topic not only for me as I get ready to launch my new business / ministry as a professional organizer after retiring from teaching elementary school for 25 years but great info. for the clients I serve who have let clutter and other road blocks temporarily upset their lives. This video is applicable to so many people in so many ways. Thank you.

I continue to pray God’s blessings upon you especially since I recall you mentioning recently that you are in transition with whomever is videotaping etc. your videos and I’m assuming you are gearing up for and working on either mentally or hopefully if possible your next fashion collection. Good projects for sure.

Thank you soooo much for this video!!! I hate my job (I am a pizza delivery girl) but because its mindless, it gives my brain a chance to wander. I cut down on social media A LOT and it really did help. Now I have a subject for my first collection (in 10 years :o ) I"m excited!

Great topic! Especially whenI have a lot of projects at once... I usually end up being overwhelmed and get in a big brake 😵. How do you get into work after a big break? You explained a little but maybe you have more to say about it. I would love to hear 😊

Pat TThanks for sharing your ideas on how to be creative in a non-pressured way when you don't feel you can be creative, or feel inspired.

Amazing video. I'm going to go back and rewatch to make notes to refer back to. The biggest thing for me is letting myself take breaks and being forgiving to myself. Thank you so much for this video

Amazing video that everyone needs to watch! Especially at that part where you mention the fact that we must not be too hard on ourself or strict and learn how to be more tolerant because not all days are the same.
Thank you my beloved Justine <3
