Surely they were aware of this before migrating right? Were they expecting something different? How long has it been this way?

In Canada 🇨🇦 your EQ (character and personality) is more IMPORTANT than IQ
Stay humble, patient and have humility to survive in Canada 🇨🇦 ❤

I disagree with this perspective. When I came here 25 years ago, I went through the same credentialing process and even returned to school. Today, I am PT and RN with a master’s degree. So, why the complaints? This was the reality back then, and now it seems there’s an expectation for instant success. Some people want to practice right away without realizing that going back to school makes you fully integrate and adapt in Canadian values and culture. I have few friends who were engineers, lawyers, doctors, nurses who went to school too, my brother in law who’s a dentist - went to same process of credentialing and investing of going back to school. Now they are successful in their careers and yes they had also bills while being in school. I was going to school driving for like 2 hours to the university and working on my school days off. Done this for almost 6 years !

Mga born and finish grade 12 here, maski gustong maging nurse ay nahinirapan sila .One of the reason you need to compete your grades para mapa in sa faculty of nursing .They need to pass university 1 .Sadly their grades not meet the requirements so they have no choice but to drop out.Marami din namang mga pinay na na achieve ang dream nila na maging nurse, sadly not everyone

That goes for all professionals in the healthcare field. Too much discrimination. Too much struggle, both financial, physical & mental. Canada has advertised false hopes to all international graduates.

may kasabihan na never stop learning. if you want to move up you have to study to learn what people on top are doing. basta lumabas na tayo sa pilipinas accept na natin na wala tayo sa ating bayan, if you want to be comfortable mag stay sa Pilipinas. ✌

Limited lang opportunity ng high skilled jobs sa Canada, maraming ka competensya. Operator sa mga manufacturing ang karamihang babagsakan tapos karamihan under agency pa.

Unfortunately this is true. Napakataas na ng costs of living. Immigrants need to aim higher and upgrade themselves. Being a regular office workers salary isn’t enough in a urban areas.
