Swiss-like finishing, Japanese movement, Chinese pricing and industrialist efficiency in r&d and production. Unless you’re a snob you can’t fault them. The fact that they’re transparent and acts on customers’ feedback is great.

I have owned this one for 2 years. I wear it regularly and I really like the watch. Just a warning people thinking about buying it… It wears big. It has a long lug to lug And it sits flat on the wrist… I would suggest it to people with at least A 7 inch wrist

I'm thinking of getting a San Martin because I don't want to take any of my Rolex, Tudor, etc watches on holidays with me since a few locations like Barcelona are notorious for watch robberies and although all my watches are insured, I don't need to draw unnecessary attention on me.
This one caught my eyes since it looks different to other watches I own (unlike San Martin's other "homages" that look _very_ close to original Rolex and Tudor watches) and the Seiko it tries to imitate is too expensive to have the issues that owners of it report.
We're at a point where original Seikos have worse quality control than Chinese San Martin clones.

Can't argue with you. SAN MARTIN have produced what seiko should have. I love seiko don't get me wrong. But san martin offer far more for far less.

I bought one of these in the last sale. I just couldn’t justify the grand seiko where asking. The San Martin is a good watch for the money

Quick test, present some one with this SM and the Seiko SPB143, and says you give it for free, choose one, guess which one they choose? The better quality SM? Buying an item with no practical usage is an emotional purchase. You link to the brand and heritage more than the quality.

Even the limited variants of citizen fugu variants are better than seiko. But San Martin is just a class by the looks of it. I would love to see an all titanium and sapphire variations with their on-the-fly adjustment clasps. I wouldntnneed to but from seiko aftermarket assemblers seeing such builds from San Martins
