The Tyrannosaurus Rex was one of the biggest meat-eating dinosaurs. Scientists think that a fully grown T-Rex could weigh between 7 and 9 tonnes. Now, that's heavy!

To help you understand just how heavy that is, let's think about elephants, which are one of the heaviest animals alive today. A really big elephant might weigh around 6 tonnes. That means a T-Rex could weigh as much as one and a half elephants!

Or think about it this way: you know how heavy your school backpack is? A T-Rex could weigh as much as about 1,000 of those backpacks!
