Показать описание
Join us on Thursday, July 29th at 11am PST for the next educational webinar in our LISTEN & LEARN series entitled, Is it Time for a Cochlear Implant? A Patient’s Perspective.
Hearing aids provide meaningful relief for most people with hearing loss. However, severe hearing loss causes distortion in the auditory system and sometimes hearing aids are not enough. This talk will help identify when it's time to incorporate hearing aid accessories and consider a cochlear implant. You’ll also hear a patient’s perspective with hearing aids and what life is like now, with cochlear implants.
Julie Husting is a long-time patient of Shohet Ear Associates as well as a mentor to many who are trying to navigate life with hearing loss and cochlear implants. Julie is a bilateral cochlear implant recipient, an author, speaker and she serves as Chapter Leader of the Bionic Ear Association for Advanced Bionics.
Dr. Jacqueline Bibee is a member of our highly skilled audiology team. She gets the opportunity each day to help patients navigate life with hearing loss and fit some of the most innovative hearing devices available. She also serves as Director of Research, evaluating clinical outcomes of these hearing devices.
Dr. Bibee and Julie have combined clinical expertise and real-life experience to bring maximum benefit to our listeners who may be wondering where to begin on their journey to hearing more clearly.
The webinar is free and open to the public, but registration is required to reserve your spot. If you are interested in learning more about this topic but cannot tune in live, feel free to register anyway so that we can email you a recording of the entire presentation after the webinar. Invite your friends, family, colleagues, and neighbors; we can’t wait to connect with you!
