Hands-on tutorial and walk-through on how to connect to the AWS server less backend using websockets. Websockets provide real-time low-latency communications in both directions between front- and back-end. However, implementation and communication is different than REST APIs. In part 1 of the mini-series, I compare REST with websockets before I guide through the implementation of the backend on AWS (using API Gateway, Cognito, DynamoDB and serverless Lambda) and the implementation on the mobile client using Flutter.
