You can’t insta kill a boss with an ancient blade, instead it just adds 50 extra damage. I think Link is operating under the same rules, so technically he is canonically a boss.

Acient blades fused to a weapon should operate like an Acient sword. And then do the deleting stuff when fused to an arrow.

This means that for enemies link is considered a boss fight. Imagine you’re a bokoblin hanging out and suddenly you see a link health bar appear at the top of your vision.

Link must’ve built up resistance during Breath of the Wild. He’s not immune so it does damage him, but after working with the ancient gear along with everything else he built up a high tolerance.

explanation: 1 damage equals a quarter of a heart, so 50 damage is 13 hearts without armour, but the actual weapon attack power stacks ( if not ancient blading enemy

Oh my god, I didn’t think about this! In Breath of the Wild, you couldn’t give enemies ancient arrows without mods, and yes, they do in fact one shot you. But captain constructs… They can FUSE it to their items, most likely!

After botw, link didn't wanna give up his ancient armor, so he ate it and now he has a permanent ancient resistance but no more ancient enemies so its sorta useless
