I have to be honest, i did not even know about getting widows benefits. Social Security mailed me and it was set up via phone. The ladies who helped me were very kind.

I did the same thing before I found your channel. It was during COVID. SSA lost everything. Because of them, I had three appointments.😢 Watch them like a hawk and register for your online account, so you can monitor status. The website was helpful, it showed me nothing was being done. I scheduled more appointments, so I could resubmit documents.

I received widow benefits last yr, I did every thing over the phone. Although I did have to drop off my marriage certificate, which they returned later.

This is false. I applied for and received Survivors Benefits without applying in person.
