What's the most annoying thing your neighbor does?
I live in a suburban area, and recently, my neighbor got a pet chicken. I didn’t think much of it at first, but then the chicken started coming into my yard every day. It poos on my lawn, digs in my garden, and even leaves feces on my porch. Cleaning up after it every day has been frustrating.
The first time I talked to my neighbors, I was nice about it. I casually mentioned that their chicken was wandering into my yard and asked if they could keep an eye on it. They brushed it off, saying, “Oh, chickens like to move around! It’s just what they do.” I tried to stay patient, but the chicken kept coming back and making a mess.
After a few more weeks of this, I brought it up again, more firmly this time, telling them it was becoming a real problem. Still, they weren't taking it too seriously, and just sort of agreed that they would "try" to keep it in their own yard. Nothing changed, of course. The chicken kept on coming.
The breaking point came when I walked outside one morning to find that the chicken had destroyed part of my garden, digging up the plants I’d worked hard on. I snapped, went to their house, and told them it had to stop. They got defensive and called me petty, saying, “It’s just a chicken, it’s not doing any real damage.”
