One Thing I Don't Like about the Parrot ANAFI

Nice footage. Winery? Well done. I am flying DJI Mini2 and Air2s. Just a baby pilot at 68. Shot and printed BW photos as a kid in the stone ages. Love learning all this digital stuff. Stay healthy!!!

I am glad you brought this subject up Gadget Inspector. I film with the Anafi and always in P-Log. Lets point out some facts out about color grading. In the film industry color grading is a specialized skill set, also when you speak about the Anafi LUT or other LUT you have to understand that filming in P-Log for grading needs specific settings. The problem that you are encountering in your footage is it is under developed too dark. One of the major problems is LUTS or color grades really darken your footage and if it is undershot then it only gets worse. I suggest shooting pro low shutter speed and filming at minimal depending on settings 2 stops up slightly over brightened. This will not stop all problems as in bright days it will be blown. But on your footage you are using, use curves to brighten the underdeveloped this will help. Also LUTs like Anafi or others are not one size fits all you can apply them but again you also have to work on curves, brightness and contrast, Grading is a specific field for a reason loads of tweaking has to be done. I do not use LUTs but grade some of the grades really darken the file so if too dark I use a lighter grade then use color temp to get the mood of the scene. This has worked for me and I am now getting the spec I wanted. Remember grading is complicated but the more you do it the easier it is to understand

Hi Inspector, I have been enjoying your videos for several years now. I have always considered them time well spent. I also have one thing I don't like about my Parrot Anafi, signal strength. As I watched the intro to this video, I was thinking, I could never fly in area with that much WiFi activity. It seems as though any time I get into town with my Anafi, I start seeing some very ominous warnings about signal strength. My controller will vibrate, and I will first see and "orange warning" about signal strength and interference. If I chose to continue, I will often get a "red warning" instructing me to RTH. Shortly after I purchased the drone in 2018, called tech support during such an occurrence. They were able to walk me through the process of changing the bandwidth settings. In 2020, we here in southwest Louisiana were devastated by Hurricane Laura. I had to put my drones in storage for the past two years as my family and I put our lives back together. I just started flying the Anafi again this week. Once again, I experienced serious signal interference. The number I had for Anafi no longer works. Their website no longer lists phone numbers or emails for support. I have tried to locate the area within the flight app to make changes to the bandwidth, but I can no longer find it. Can you help a brother out?

Are you still flying the anafi? i pulled mine out a few weeks ago and started playing with it again. It's amazing how much I have forgotten. I tried to fly it last week and it kept disconnecting so I'm gonna try another cable on my next outing. I hope you are still cruising the skies with yours. let me know.

That wind farm reminds me of the windmills on the mountains of Davis West Virginia. We will be going back there soon so I can get som footage from there. It's so relaxing there. Elkins West Virginia will be the last stop on our road trip, another beautiful area!

I own a Parrott Anafi, and I have not had an issue with color grading in post production, but I did not use PLOG when I filmed. I also did not use a LUT when color grading, I just tweaked the image from scratch. I have video footage on my Facebook page, but none on my YouTube channel. I will Upload a file to give you an example.

I used to own two Anafi's In each time I emailed, called their CS and no return. I once emailed their CS once a week along with sending private messages on FB for two months and still to this day no return. Sold the Anafi for the EVO 2
