NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre wasn't always a gun enthusiast. In fact, when LaPierre first joined the NRA in 1978, he was more comfortable on K Street than in a duck blind. “The safest place you could be with Wayne and a gun back then was in a different state, because he really did not know anything about guns,” former NRA spokesman John Aquilino tells FRONTLINE. “Politics, yes; guns, no.”

Anyone who sells, trades, or hands a weapon to another human being is responsible for what is done with that weapon. It's on the seller's head if he/she doesn't go the extra mile and check the receiver of the weapon thoroughly out .

Reasonable legislation that limits military weapons is needed. We don't need those on the streets.

Golly! This is enlightening.
Every time MSNBC does a piece on the NRA they always say that the NRA is an organization that represents the interests of the firearms manufacturers. I wish you anti-gunners would make up your minds.

Can anyone imagine Ford Motor Co. submitting themselves to tacit admission of liability, fines, further restrictions and legislation, etc. because of a drunk driver, a criminal, or someone deranged like Lakeisha Holloway (the Las Vegas strip vehicular homicide driver)?

And yet automobiles kill 2 orders of magnitude more Americans than guns.
