Nobody wins here. If anything, Iran’s tepid response and leaving its proxies to fight and die on its behalf has only encouraged Israel to deal the finishing blow. Israel is slowly escalating while Iran is trying to find a way to de-escalate without looking weak. The Iranian regime is not suicidal enough to fight for their proxies.

Missile attack from iran didn't do much because they didn't target a city.
The fact is that a significant amounts of missile went trough the air defence and hit close to their target (an air strip and a base). The precision is only few hundred metres but it won't be an issue if it is targeted anywhere in the Telaviv city to cause civil casually.
So Iran still have a deterrence.
