She did anyway. About a mile into the forest she met a women dressed in dark clothes. The woman told her she was nice and would care for lily. She took lily to her cabin and then while lily was asleep the woman possessed her. Lily was like a robot under the woman’s control. This stopped when Lily fell in cold water. She ran screaming for help but no one heard her. She deeply regretted her choice. Rumor says she is still living in the woods alone, and the woman is trying to find her. ~ hope you enjoyed my story lol ~

What to know what i think is the meaning of this song? and the moral? here ya go.
Lily isn't a little girl at all.Lily is you/us/everyone.When I first heard these lyrics i almost cried because the story isn't about a little girl at all it's about people growing up sheltered and protected from the evil in this world.The people that will destroy your dreams, people that will take advantage of you, and people that manipulate and abuse you.This "girl" is a representation of us all growing up and wanting to explore and see the world only to try new things and then get enticed with our relationships and drugs and just anything we all know we shouldn't be doing because we "let them in". This song is so beautifully written because it sound like a lullaby which is how things always start. So beautiful. Until it goes horribly wrong somehow and we've somehow let some sort of demon in our lives which slowly starts to take over.
Moral that i think: Be grateful for what you have and be careful for what you wish for.
