'How-To' Make Your Own Lipstick Palette

In this video I show you how easy it is to melt down your lipsticks to put in a palette that's much easier to carry around.
I got the palette at Target by e.l.f. for $1. Can't beat that! Ok unless it's free.

Lipsticks in the video that I melted where:
Victoria's Secret, Sinful (not sure they carry this anymore)
MAC's Viva Glam Cindy
Estee Lauder, Tiramisu

Somethings I forgot to mention in the video:
You may not need to know this for any reason, but you can pop the bottom part of the palette out (might break the mold though, be careful, but it is possible) and use it to fit more in there if you want to use pans and add magnets to them. It is magnetic and will fit with a pan and a magnet underneath. (I got mine at Wal-Mart for $0.98, they are strips that I cut).

I do this all the time. It's a GREAT way to use ALL the lipstick that is way down in the tube. Also, it's a great way to make new colors. I melt a few different ones together and come up with a new color.

Z-Palette also has empty pans as well as Yaby and some other places. Those you have to order online. Consider when you do this that some lipsticks may change with heat but I personally don't mind. You don't have to melt them to put them in but it's faster. I also have a palette where I scraped them in a divided bead container from Joanns. You can get ones made for holding lipsticks specifically tho. These last for a long time. ;) Using a brush can help lipstick stay on longer as well. Enjoy!

last time i was at target they had that palette and these little pans filled with eyeshadow that was step 2 and they were a dollar each too, and you take four of them and slide them into the 4 holes into the palette

@InsidiousPaperclip if you are just looking for the empty pans companies like z-palette and yaby sells them. I believe even Joann's and Michael's has them. You can do just the pans and put them in a palette. The one in this video is from Target for a dollar by e.l.f.

yeah, i bought it anyways but i'm sad they don't have pans. do you know where to get them other than online? i tried finding them at michael's but the workers didn't even understand what i was talking about.. xD

I like to label so if someone likes a color I can tell them what it is. Try can but it if they want.

You just use the brush to pick up the lipstick and then apply it.
