Isle of Arran, Scotland in miniature ~ Part 5 of 5

It’s time to say farewell to the Isle of Arran with my last video of this five part series. I’ve really enjoyed creating these and can look back on them in years to come 😊

In this video we take a hike up to Urie Loch in Lamlash. It’s up, up and up through the woodlands and eventually out into the remote open moorlands. My Garmin watch recorded the ascent at around 1,167 feet high and just over two miles. It's a steep and strenuous hike with a fair bit of huffing and puffing from both of us, realising we are not as fit as we used to be ...

Then it’s a quick gaze across the Firth of Clyde to the Holy Isle, a spiritual retreat. Sadly we couldn’t get to visit the Holy Isle to take footage on the island as the boat trips have been stopped at the moment. I had to use older clips looking across to the Holy Isle from Lamlash.

Nearing the end is a mix of clips from around the island before we board the ferry, sit out on the stern and say a fond farewell 🖐🏻
