We are trying to discover the secrets of the town in the patch 9 forest update. This would make so much sense if we were doing this to find out what happened to Ike and Beatrix. This would almost fully bring back Hello Guest to canon.

Edit: Reconsidered it. When Quentin was first envisioned in Hello Guest, I think that he was literally supposed to be Ike (Quentin being a nickname as it’s his one of his middle names)
We got confirmation in an interview with Nikita that Man In The Hat was just the new owner of the land of the Golden Apple Amusement Park.
