There's a brand called Skin Functional in South Africa that has THE BEST stuff for really affordable. I wish more people know about them because they're not that popular
Edit: they're cruelty free, have good ingredients and for fragrance sensitive people they're completely fragrance free

Side note: the written language is called Chinese. Mandarin and Cantonese are spoken dialects.

I'm actually really glad I found this. I work with disabled people on a VERY fixed income, and now I have some recommendations.

laughed so hard when Cassandra was washing off the 2nd face wash and it wouldn't stop foaming 😂

I use that dollar store salicylic acid wash for my back. It’s hard to find a good body wash to help with backacne, yet I can always find this product. I wouldn’t use it in my face, but don’t mind it for my back. And I keep a tube of that horrid sunscreen in my car. That way I can put it on the back of my hands if I need to reapply & am away from home. No sunspots & I am over 50!

Honestly I'm kind of relieved that the pH of the 'peel' was too close to your skins pH rather than too acidic. I was terrified that you'd get severe chemical burns from it 😅

my skincare routine used to be 3 steps that was around 10 dollars, the simple foaming cleanser, the walgreens version of the aveeno lotion and a walgreens sunscreen, the lotion and sunscreen was like 2.50 which was amazing since i was on a MEGA budget as a highschool student. i still use those products since now im a broke collage student

Great content Cassandra! This is a really big issue in Latin America. Here skin care is inaccessible to many people and also we don’t have good self care culture. It is very sad :( hopefully influencers like you can attract attention to this issues.

We use the sun block from the dollar tree in my family because it is affordable, comes in a small bottle, and gets the job done. Oddly, it can be found at tjmaxx or marshalls for like $8.

Me, a New Zealander, who gets most of my skincare through prescription (Differin, Aqueous Cream, Fatty cream etc...) and therefore has it all subsidised down to exactly NZ$5 to begin with, and then knocked down to free thanks to the pharmacy I use: 😮😮😮

I use the Dermasil! Ironically I have sensitive infection prone skin. And so many of the Target or Walgreens shelf options rip my skin. Even Clinique or some Olay makes me break out. But this one, this one ... I like it. Used it for a couple years! Was just too embarrassed to tell you Hahaha. Not fantastic but gets the job done, a dollar, and zero break outs!! The sun screen I have used on my body a lot. My face it makes me break out ... but otherwise works good. :-)

Omg, the sound of squeaky clean skin. Urgh, hurts to hear! Definitely stripped all the oil from the face :(

That 2nd face-stripping "cleanser" and the gigantic nose bubble it made had me in literal tears 😂 I was lmao because it just kept getting bigger and bigger, but crying for your acid mantle. 😭 So long, moisture barrier. 😳
