Wausau's mayor moves ballot box to his office

The mayor didn't believe the drop box was secure. "It was not bolted down," he said.

The Election Commission rules state that the Election Clerk determines if and where drop boxes are placed. Not the Mayor.

By law, he should be arrested. If it was anybody else, even a govt worker, who did this they would be arrested. Funny how some people in upper levels of govt feel they are above the law. Let's see if the attorney general has any courage to enforce the law

Diny's long-standing contempt for ballot drop-off boxes is well known. But he spins the ridiculous tale that he put it in his office without talking to election officials because the box was not secured to the pavement. Diny couldn' t fool a 3rd grader with that story.

The logic that it wasn’t safe because he could lift it up. People obviously knew where it was because they realized it was missing. And what makes him think him a Republican somehow moving the box to his office makes it safer.

Dizzy claims that it needed to be bolted to the ground immediately, BEFORE it was opened for drops. This is his Republican "logic" for doing something illegal. He also claims that any city worker could have removed it, not just him.
