The best player from the 2012 season as voted by his peers. Adrian Peterson rushed for 2,097 yards in the 2012 campaign and walked away with multiple accolades to honour the greatness of that season.

Devin Hester in Chicago, Calvin Johnson in Detroit, AP in Minnisota and Aaron Rogers in Green Bay. The NFC North was must see in the early to mid 2010's

Back when ACL tears were career enders, Adrian set the bar. Now whenever a player gets an ACL injury yeah they’ll miss the season but the injury just 7 years ago was considered career ending especially for running backs. That just goes to show not only how far the treatment for the injury has come but how 1 guy with the drive to be the greatest running back of all time looked at that injury and said no you’re not slowing me down from greatness. AP is just the best I wish he was still on my Vikings

That 2012-2103 season was so fun to watch as a Lions fan because there was a period where both AP and Calvin Johnson had a streak of 100 yards games going and everyone wanted to see who would drop below 100 first.

My brother is a Vikings fan. He would cheer so loud for AP in his rookie season, 2007, that the neighbors would call the cops lol. I have a lot of respect for Adrian Peterson

2:10 I was mad asf that game when they gave him the ball all the way up until the last minute. Then didn't wanna give it to him one last time to break the record. Smdh

In my opinion after coming off that knee injury where he tore what every single Important ligament in his knee then having the season he had where he came up just a handful of yard short of the all-time rushing record I believe the knee injury more than makes up for those few yards and I consider this the greatest display of dedication hard work tenacity ferocity and shear determination and the single best rushing performance we have ever seen. AP was the perfectly built Rb a combination of size vision power speed acceleration elusiveness balance and heart..and one of the meanest stiff arms I have ever seen

I remember the first time I seen him play at Oklahoma and he rushed for over 200 yards and the first thing I noticed besides his size and phenomenal speed was his ability to break tackles and that steel club like stiff arm. I knew he would do the same in the NFL and he did just that. I hated that they suspended him like they did and then that injury that ended his season. That’s a lot of games and a lot of yards that was left on the field. The coach must be a fan of Eric Dickerson because A.P. had that single season rushing record in his pocket.

We will probably never see a season like this again. The NFL is so pass happy and QB focused now, that even if a RB with this kind of talent emerged, he'd probably not be allowed to carry enough times to achieve 2100 yards.

That was the greatest season by a running back in history..u have to give it to him.. a acl tear is worth more then 9 yards. AP is the most ferocious and violent runner of the football I have ever seen

5:56 that stat is utterly ridiculous... if he had gotten just 2 extra yards in each of those first 6 weeks he would have broken the record. Had he ran like he did in the remaining 10 games, the single season rushing record would have been absolutely obliterated. I mean, just SHATTERED. This dude was so much fun to watch. It sucks he wasted most of his HoF career in Minnesota though. Dude deserves a ring.

The fact that someone like Christian ponder was even allowed to be on the field with AP is a disgrace. Given this man a qb to help with efficiency and he would’ve had a ring
