The banded good morning is a great exercise to strengthen the muscles in the lower back and hamstrings and glutes. You want to start off with a light to medium thick band. Begin by standing in the band width feet shoulder width apart. Bend down and carefully place the band on over your head, resting on your traps. Maintain a neutral spine throughout the movement. Hinge at the hips moving your hips back and chest to the floor. Go down as far as possible while maintaining a neutral spine. This will depend on individual flexibility. Then squeeze the glutes and hamstrings returning to a standing position.
