Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate, said on Friday (October 11) she would put a Republican in her cabinet and create a bipartisan council of advisors to give feedback on policy, if elected in the Nov. 5 election.

''And so part of what I intend to do, (...) is creating a bipartisan council of advisers who can then give feedback on policy as we go forward. Because here's the thing I also understand and feel strongly about, in order for us as America to maintain our status as the strongest democracy in the world, we need a healthy two party system.''

Harris made the comments while speaking at an event in Arizona for Republicans supporting her campaign.
