Mile High Adventure: Visiting World's Biggest Comic Book Store

With San Diego Comic Con shut down for the first time in its history because of the ongoing pandemic, Heroic Hollywood Founder and Fanboy Umberto Gonzalez decided, in the spirit of con, to take the time to visit Mile High Comics in Denver, Colorado. Mile High Comics is housed in a 65,000 square foot warehouse, and billed as the biggest comic book store in America. Umberto went on a special mission to recover a certain comic book for his collection in the hopes that the comics themselves are in near mint or high grade condition.

I remember they had a store in Anaheim near Disneyland back in the early 90's I was too young to go on my own so I never got a chance to go.. then it closed down not sure why or when.. I'm guessing during the comic crash in the mid to late 90's .. I'm definitely going to Denver from L.A. soon

I thought that CGC seals the comics in mylar inside the cases so theoretically they should be water proof... at least water resistant.

What a fantasic opportunity to see inside this treasure trove! I just wish the camera work was slower so that we could enjoy seeing all the covers in detail.
Maybe you'll have to make another trip out!

If they made room for the store, they should just make a museum as well. That would give them a use of those extras, they can tell the stories they probably know by heart, and they can combine the customers who buy in the store with visitors to the museum - so the store is the gift shop for the museum visitors :-)

Terrible staff that make one leaving the store feeling like crap, that is the assessment after living in Denver for two years now. The awful passive aggressive dismissive mean terrible behavior of just the woman at their help desk alone has been enough after two years to plainly, calmly tell her today that today is my last day I would ever come here, and she gave me this double-take look, her real self she had shown this very cruel, hateful look, and said nothing -no concern for my grievance, because they are wealthy.

I went there once in the past and hope to go again. but to now know the other 2 places are closed to save funds that now they can just focus on the bigger place and have it be their main headquarters kinda place. so if ever just go to the big place and get comics anytime. sux they had to close the other 2 places but guess not enough traffic to them or other reasons why closed and so now they save bank just focus on the main store anytime now.
