The desert; Southwestern U.S. have virga all the time. It's so dry, the rain evaporates. In these areas you can see different weather for 100s of miles. It's stunning.

I’ve seen rain like this in the California deserts fairly often in the winter. It just dries up before it hits the ground. Any rain in the desert is beautiful, one can see the weeping clouds from far off.
