Sandra released a cover of "Everlasting Love" in 1987 as the lead single from her first greatest hits compilation Ten on One (The Singles). She was introduced to the song through the Love Affair version; she'd say of the song: "I have always loved it… Even as a little child I heard that song and I said that I would like to sing it sometime." However, for her remake of the song Sandra would use the lyrics of the 1981 Rex Smith/Rachel Sweet duet version. Sandra's version was produced by her partner, Michael Cretu.
The single was a hit in continental Europe in late 1987 and early 1988, reaching the Top 10 in her native Germany, as well as Switzerland, Austria, Greece and Denmark. In Germany and Austria, it was also a top 5 airplay hit, and a #13 airplay hit in Switzerland. In the pan-European rankings, it reached #6 on the sales chart and #34 on the airplay chart.
The song remains one of Sandra's most successful singles and has reportedly sold in around 3 million units.

Печально, что альбом 2012 год был последним.
Несколько лет назад я взглядом с Сандрой встретился в магазине, кратко друг на друга посмотрели, я шёл в верх она стояла на полке в виде виниловой пластинке, где Сандра была на фотографии.
Первый её клип я увидел в 1989-90 году в книжном магазине, крутили клип Хиросима.
Голос Сандры спутать было не возможно, это когда я её услышал в Энгиме, но не знал про энигму, но голос было трудно не узнать.
Ушли 80е а голос Сандры возвращает в те далёкие времена.
Тогда я и купил её альбом на кассете японской за 9р в киоске.
Так и хочется спеть отрывком из этой песни, возвращайся ко мне по скорей ....

In my opinion this video contains one of the most beautiful moments in (certainly 80s) Pop music video history.

The video producer, intelligently sets it up at 05:55 by panning the camera so the viewer can see the "support staff" behind the scenes, while Sandra keeps her focus, beautifully lovingly, on the "viewer" (now almost behind her)...

But then just the few seconds of "magic", when the cameraman takes Sandra (likely) by the hand and just start spinning around with her...

That 2-second "sensual look" she gives from 6:05, that morphs into a sort of "shyness"...

...That's why I'm still in love with her!
