Lets see her give all the profits of her book about this to the innocent guy that she put in prison for 16 also I read her apology which was NOT an apology at all. Horrific really horrific and taking no responsibility but blaming the legal system.

It’s not at all Alice’s fault is quite a take considering she picked him out of the blue off the street and conformed her story to the detectives on her case.

She should get life in prison without parole

It is wrong to point out that law enforcer department is the one accountable for the conviction of the innocent. The victim has identified and testified that the man was her offender ? that is the basis of the conviction. This is solemn matter and one must know what one is doing and the consequence for all ahead. The sole victim is the one who spent many years in jail.

Wait, HOW THE WORLD can you completely excuse Alice when she never took accountability in the BEGINNING for incorrectly identifying him?? If she had insisted on the real perpetrator perhaps she would have found the real criminal. You also leave out the fact that this "famous" and "reknowned" author never made a true apolgy to Anthony in public. Alice penned a short statement on an obscure site that is not availabe to the public, to state that while she didnt mean to ruin this mns enrire life, and that ultimately it was the fault of the justice system. Any notable publications ie NYT, Washinton Post would have jumped at availing themselve to have Alice pen anything on their publication. THIS IS A TRULY REGRETFUL MISSED OPPORTUNITY BECAUSE ALICE, WITH HER FAME, COULD HAVE TURNED A TERRIBLY TRAGIC SITUATION FOR BOTH OF THEM BY PUBLICIZING THE MANY FAULTLINES IN THE JUNGLE SYSTEM, ESPECIALLY IN REGARDS TO BLACL MEN. Meanwhile, Anthony stated in public that he forgave her, even tho she completely destroyed his life; he actively chose to not have any kids because he did not want any progeny of his to be blamed fir the father being convicted and required to register as S.O. for the rest of his life, further, Anthony stated that he did not hold onto any anger toward her. I am Asian, and I dectect white privilege from these two Caucasian podcasters who were so quick to come to Aluces defense that she is NOT to be blamed, and that she is a victim too. While Anthony spent 16 year in prison, Alice went on to fame and made tens of millions off her story, which BTW had the wrong person convicted because she identified the WRONG person. Alice also kept referring to how important it was that she was perceived as a " good girl", admitting that she went so far as consciously making the decision to dress very conservatively and conducting herself in the manner of the ultimate good girl to ensure that the judge took her side. Come on ladies, do better!!!

I doubt a police officer would have said that she was “Lucky”. I have read her account iand it seems fictional the problem is it’s is supposed to be nonfiction.
