Finding good quality jeans at the thrift store and then getting them tailored for like $20-25 gives you a very similar look to going out and dropping $200+ on jeans. I purchased a pair of frame jeans on ThredUp for $27 and got the crotch area tailored for $18 and they fit like a dream. Definitely not cheap to do it this way, but much more affordable than buying a perfect pair of designer jeans.
