Nice comparison Gary. We should take into account that over a long period of time lume does get dimmer, so you are comparing a watch made quite a few years ago to a much newer one. I would guess that when the SKX was new it would be just as bright in compliance with the ISO standard. 😁

Good thing with higher end lume from Seiko is that they don't require much light to jump start the lume. If you keep two watches in a dim light environment and bring them to a complete dark environment the sla will perform way better. I don't have a mm300 but the seiko Arnie and sbbn049 tuna. The lume is significantly better on sbbn tuna 😊

Oh i don’t know maby the quality control/movement/case finishing/ material uses/made in japan vs made in china/bracelet quality. It is like comparing the headlight of a fiat panda to a lexus. Like yeah that is why lexus is more expensive

TBH SKX lume is pretty bad. There is just not enough lume material. SRP777 did much better. Still Citizen has more longer lasting lume formula. My BN0151 was on par with Cronos LM6002, which is incredibly bright and also lasts very long. All are dethroned by Wise Adamascus AD8 - after 10 hours in the dark Wise simply slays everything.
