Dawn Patrol Goodies - SUP Surf

What a wonderful morning! I had a such a fun session and felt great all morning.

The first wave in this video I tried a strategy that usually has a low success rate and a hefty toll. In between sets I paddled inside and caught the more walled up section, usually on a shortboard it's hard to catch and I end up getting cleaned up by the next set, or I catch one and get caught inside by the next set. Being on a SUP I was able to see if a set was coming and had the paddle power to get in and back out free of the toll, sweet!

I decided to shelve the quick release pole cam for now, to much hassle to reattach in the impact zone. I beefed up the attachment points so that hopefully it will stay attached. I also reinforced the pole and I suspect it will hold up. The nose felt a little heavy carrying the board, and then in the water I didn't notice any extra weight and surfing felt great. Stoked :)
