Some applications of melodic minor on non minor chords:
On altered dominants that resolve -> superlocrian, 7th mode of the melodic minor
On dominants that don't resolve -> lydian dominant, Bartok scale, myxolydian sharp 11, 4th mode of the melodic minor
On dominants in 2-5-1 -> build an octatonic diminished scale half whole from the super locrian by adding a natural 13 and extra notes
