Regarding ground loop issues: the lovely people from MODAL have explained me in detail, how their synths easily and brilliantly solve that issue by design!, and yes, my (very affordable!!) MODAL Argon8 is the only! synth that has no ground loop issues whatsoever, when connected simultaneously via USB and audio. ALL of my other synths (Yamaha, Korg, Roland, you name it.... ) have ground loop issues, so I either connect them via standard MIDI cable or have to use expensive DI boxes. BUT: Here's my point: If MODAL can do it (and standard MIDI could do it since the 80s), wouldnt you agree that other companies should also be able to!?!??

Ipad does the same for me. Not much to gain with the few knobs aswell..
Especially with the M chip- no limits to lfo's and envelopes to selfbuilt synths, sampling etc, endless effects and the quality sounds the same or even better.

It should be mentioned (and at least shown here a bit) that the Mayer has built in a fully fledged Ableton-style multitrack pattern sequencer that you won't find, I dare to argue, on any other synth (except the MD-900).
Ok, the Akai MPC-line, but it's a different concept.

I'd rather the 3osc 12 voice (or 2*6 voice bi-timbral) Micromonster 2 and my Elektron Analog Four MK1 (used). With loads of money left over.

Sounds great, looks great, has everything you need to make electronic music, amazing connect-ability, I imagine a lot of people will like this, if you are not distracted by every new piece of gear out there, just want to make a lot of music through hardware and be able to carry it about with you, then why not. I would love to have one without question. Hook it up to a Nord Lead and a couple of nice analog delay pedals and away you !!!

Hm. Too expensive for the sound. It sounds like a standard soft synth, and the interface isn’t performable enough to make this specific hardware appealing. Filter’s not anything special. I’d rather have a really nice precise digital filter like a Waldorf, or a really beautiful more vintagey analog filter.

These sounds are totally underwhelming 😑, boring as batshit. While the patches are different, obviously, they seem to have a "same same" ring to them. If this is the most powerful synth you peeps sell, then something is wrong with the synth industry.
