1 definitely pattern scout, jeans Vicki sews is super cute jeans, Jennifer Lauren dress. For my plans, I'm just going to roam through my stash, easy shirts and adjustable pants like the pietra pants.

So ambitious! I think for the jacket, you should try the Pattern Scout Cozi. It might require fewer adjustments. But whatever you choose, you’ll have a great little jacket.

I suggest Pattern Scout for the jacket, the Anthea Allen top for the plaid fabric, the Fibre Mood Betty for the jeans, and the Style Arc Hope dress. I like all your choices, any will look great, go with your gut feeling 😊

I’m excited to see what you make. I like all your choices. However, making the jacket pattern that actually had your size is best. ❤

Nice video, Sara! And some nice fall sewing plans! That first fabric in Hunter Green was absolutely beautiful! That’s a new favorite color of mine. Your video is really inspiring me to get back to sewing soon! And my pic for the ditzy print fabric in the last part of this video, is the Jennifer Lauren pattern… Love that one! ❤

Thanks for sharing! I vote for the Cozi jacket, the Anthea, the Britney, and the Hope dress. I have some long-sleeved layering tees cut out to sew up. I want to make some woven parts, a fall dress, and a lounge set.

Just a tip if you think your serger might not handle the thickness of your sweater fabric, when you cut out all your pieces, serge all the edges of each piece first and then sew your sweater together on your sewing machine.❤

I love your plans. I’ve made both the cozi jacket and Seychelles top numerous times and highly recommend them both.

Love all your plans Sarah. You have inspired me to try a different style pattern with plaid - great idea! Interested to see your knit tulla pants and any of the boxy jackets. The Helen’s closet Pona is on my list & a boxy style (haven’t decided on pattern) jacket in a blue melton wool, which has been in my stash for quite some time. Will take a look at the Pattern scout one you spoke about. Love your channel & can’t wait to see your makes 😊

I love pattern scout! I’ve made a few of that jacket pattern for myself, my mom and my sister. I’m in the process of making another one in a sweatshirt material.

I really like the fiber mood pants, just remember to cut it bigger than you think that you need. Easy to take away but you can never add more once the fabric is cut. My favorite garment of yours is the red trenchcoat.

I am doing some basic button up shirts, however the sleeves balloon out before reaching the cuff and I designed a huge long pointed collar to replace the regular one. It will have fisheye darts in front.

Next is some 14 oz black stretch denim jeans from daughter Judy. I have the fabric cut out and bagged.

Then I plan on two pairs of ponte knit trousers, one in black and one in charcoal grey. I will add welt pockets to the back.

Then I have the patina blouse done in black eyelet fabric. It will go nicely with my ponte knit pencil skirts and vests I made,

Three or four knit sheath dresses will happen.

I put on a bit of weight but the biggest issue is that after 19 months, my huge abdominal surgery scars still hurt, so roomier pants and skirts are needed.

The first jacket...I would make the second one that has your size. Trying to deal with a pattern 2 sizes larger may end up with something that is too big. On the barrel leg first pattern you have made before looks really nice on you. The second on might date quickly and will really draw attention to your ankles and feet...if that is what you want.

Great video...
Check out pattern emporiums downtown jacket... I've got 2 planned. One is a restyled style arc "Archie" that is just tooo oversized and the 2nd one as part of a two piece short set... Both cropped versions. Regular not flared version. The restyled Archie I made with a zipper closure. It'll be an experiment to restyle because I screwed it up from the get go by adding 1½" to the wrong end of the back panel
Adding it to the shoulder side instead of the hem side. Gahhhh didn't have any fabric left to cut out a new panel. Substituted a different fabric that turned out kinda blah.

I was thinking waiting to see what results someone else has with the Know Me jacket but being a little large could help with layering options and I think it is not as casual looking as the Pattern Scout design. I made a large plaid flannel top pullover with a v-neck a few years ago b/c I wanted to do something other than a button-up shirt and felt it came out looking like a pajama top, so I don't personally recommend that style for a larger plaid 😄. For everything else, all equally good choices - which makes it hard to pick from, I know! So, you can't go wrong with whatever you choose, right?
