Awesome video. I agree Surfside and Dockside are to me the best places to stay. The money I save allows me to spend more on other places and dining at more restaurants. Only 3 more weeks until I’m back at Dockside.

I’ve stayed at a few of the Universal Resorts and tbh, I end up at Endless Summer 90% of the time.. I think the biggest benefit of Endless Summer that doesn’t get enough attention is that you can walk to so many places that are located right by the property (having a Walgreens right across the street is huge). Plus they just opened a new Arcade Monsters location that was a 5 minute walk from Surfside (I’m a Pinball nerd) which was a fantastic way to spend the evening after the parks.

I go with my madre and her madre for new years every year. We do Disney for Christmas. Portofino Bay is my favorite. We did stay at Royal Pacific a couple of years ago one year but I guess I a so used to Portofino Bay.

Such an excellent overview, KP! You really can’t go wrong staying on property at Universal, it’s just all about your priorities! Especially loved the tip about checking to see if your rate has gone down after booking - I’ve saved crazy $$ doing that a few times!

We have stayed at all three premier hotels with Hard Rock being our fav. If staying at one of the three you get "free" express passes for the parks. One big suggestion, and glad we did this year, is to book private transport from and back to airport. If you get transport thru Universal packages and if you are staying at one of the three premier hotels, it will take an hour or more to get to one of these hotels as all the Universal offsite hotel guests are dropped off first. This makes it longer for your trip to start. Also private transport back to airport is faster and believe me, less stressing as its just your own party going straight to airport with no pick ups at other hotels (and no having to wait for those guests that don't have good time management for pick up!). Blessings!
