Drop Off Mistakes And How To Avoid Them | E-Mountain Bike Skills

There are a number of common mistakes that can be made when riding drop offs on your E-Bike. The main thing to remember is to remain relaxed and confident, Chris is at Windhill Bike Park to point out the usual errors and how they can be corrected.

Poor technique, having the wrong speed, and listening to bad advice can cause problems when riding drops on your E-MTB. Start small and work your way up to bigger drop offs as you gain confidence.

You know, this is great advice. So clear and straight forward. I don't have an eBike, nor do I intend to purchase one, but some of these videos (like Steve's uphill switchbacks video) are the best advice I've seen, regardless of MTB type, including vs regular GMBN videos. Chris any suggestions on how to ride a drop with a lip just before the run up? Especially when you have a downslope, lip, run up and edge of drop? Both add up for difficult timing to launch clean. Awesome vid man.

I’d never hit those big drops on my emtb, so front end heavy I can’t even manual it for more than a few inches (over a span of seconds). I can manual an acoustic, no problem. I’d think manualing is essential to dropping technique...but 🤷‍♀️
