In this video we will show you how to run Python in VS Code (Visual Studio Code). We will also show you how to install Python. This video specifically goes over installation of Python in Mac OS but other operating systems such as Windows will be similar. We will write a basic Python program that prints “hello world” to the terminal in VS Code.

Why is it saying Python was not found?

I've seen other teachers just click the run code play button, why are you saying we have to type the "python3 "filename.py" command just to run the code?? Your method works for me and runs the code, but when I click the run code play button in the top right hand corner, I get an error that say: /bin/sh: 1: python: not found ". I have python 3.9.2 installed. Also, when I go to RUN > Run Code Without Debugging, the code will execute without any errors. So my question is: Why can't I use that run code play button in the top right hand corner like my instructors are in their course videos? It's driving me crazy!!

I try to run it, but it shows the file destination, and it takes so muchh space. Any idea to keep it limited to the name of file only like yours?
