I practically looked the entire youtube video database for a tutorial for smoke. But none were that well explained like yours. This is absolute gold! Thank you so much for making these!

At 11:30 when he's talking about basic resolution under Resolutions Divisions: "...but at the same time, that's the number that will make your PC cry." 🤣. Another great tutorial. Thank you. You're my favorite instructor, Roman!

If you cant see the smoke in the render preview, please check the Material settings at 10:11 (was my problem)

Great video! For the adaptive domain: Perhaps you have to play around with the params, because actually the adaptive domain helps decreasing the computation time because it tries to fit the domain to the amount of gas inside the domain.

So frustrated.... yet again, I followed EVERY single step with a new install of 2.90.1 and at the 7:00 mark... I get NO SMOKE. Have the same issue with all the fire tutorials. There's SOMETHING in the settings missing from all of the tutorials. Probably something that people turned on long ago and forgot about. Any help here??? BTW, downloaded the sample file, baked and still not working.

i'm pretty sure that 'adaptive domain' does not make your bakes faster but smaller in filesize.
minimal number of stored voxels per frame (or something like that).
this could mean longer processing time to evaluate this.

Have you ever encountered strange artifacts with the smoke simulation before? I have a principles volume on the world texture. Could that be it I wonder 🤔

I've followed a lot of your tutorials and they've all worked out for me except for this one. I can't get my smoke to go as high as yours despite following all the steps. Nor can I get it to have the same density as you. I got it to go about 1/3rd as high as yours. I tried messing around in settings but nothing seemed to fix it. Was wondering if anyone had any advice?

Also wanted to thank you for the tutorials because they've helped a lot!

Adaptive domain is for timeline baking, as it reduces empty voxels per frame (or steps per frame) to optimise calculation time. I find the whole thing confusing as hell tbh..

I have a problem. when I set the smoke feature the whole box fills up at the final frame and it isn't smooth or gradual. like i set it on 50 frames then from the first frame to the 50th frame there is nothing and then 51 it is filled with smoke.
