Great ideas, I too have 5th edition rules and am attempting to learn it... Even after all these years this era of Warhammer appeals the most. Thanks for posting

You have the Skirmish book, fine. otherwise I would just say, play Mordheim, use Empire in Flames if you want to go outside the city. :) All is free on the web..

Cool project, quite a few people doing this, me included. WHFB is not dead!

6th edition is a great edition to jump into! Enjoy your journey into WFB.

Hey! Cheers from Poland!

6th got very popular here last couple years, we have multiple meetings/tournaments per year, each over 15/20 players!

5th is great and the models, art etc are much more to my taste....saying that, I like 4th too.

id say 7th edition with the 6th edition armybooks is the best gaming experience.

I started this years January with the 6th Edition and I think it's absolutely amazing. I play Dwarfs, Vampires, Beast-Man and Dark Elves.

Well chosen Mate. I still play 6th edition and have wood elves along with many other armies. I also play mostly Skirmish these days as i dont have the time for larger battles.. Unfortunately Brettonian minis are rare as rocking horse poo these days but i have found good alternatives from Fireforge games and their Deus Vult range. They even do a box of Pegasus knights.

Hands down id say 6th. It was clearer rules etc it really brought the old world to life

Love it, I hope your journey goes well, I would recommend that you try 6th with no add on rules from other editions until you get the hang of it. Then once you are comfortable you can add in rules you think are necessary etc but if you do it from the start you'll never really get a true feel for 6th (the importance of charging to go first, the importance of trying to wipe out the front rank so there are less strikes back, the importance of heroes to bolster units) Step up changes this considerably!

The 5th is my favorite. My Dog of Wars full army with rule book is still under my bed.

Any chance for narrated videos for some of the skirmishes you plan to play?

5th is my number 1. I bought 2 copies of Battle Masters for most of the miniatures. Em4 miniatures dwalves are good for conversions. Only the elves cost a bit.
