Great review, I fly an microlight and after this review I have decided to give this camera a try. I stopped using GoPros a long time ago. The cameras I am currently using are Drift HD and Garmin Virb Elite. This will be a good addition because I kayak too and needed a camera with waterproof casing. The stabilization would be bonus with this camera.

Gday Brett. Greetings from Adelaide SA. Really great video. Thanks for sharing. Looks like a really great camera. Couple of questions 1) Sony do a wrist watch style of live view remote monitor. Do you think it's worth extra $$$ or phone / tablet suffice ? 2) Sony onboard menu system not touch screen and not quite as intuitive as others (i.e go pro). Do you see this as limitation or do you just smash out the settings via the app ? 3) footage looks really nice - have you color graded or touched up in post ? And what are you using for editing ? If its the Sony app (or not), i would be interested in your thoughts / experiences especially with regard to timelapse.4) Form factor is different than most other action cams. Thoughts on this and mounting options. Also, sounds like you've previously had a go pro. Are any of your GP mounts compatible with the Sony ? 5) BOSS - is it the real deal or would you still consider a gimbal for this camera ? Some beautiful pictures from the hunter region. Subscribed. G'day Brett - thanks for your opinions on this little Action Cam. Quick question - when using your iPad or the phone app - what sort of reliable range do you get? I'm considering mounting it on the rear of a vehicle from time to time and am wondering whether it will work at that distance with the metal barriers in between?
