43. Against You, You Only, Have I Sinned

The Bible Is True 5-7

All sin is committed against God. Even sins that are committed by one person against another person are also committed against God. Why is that? It’s because it is God’s law that has been broken. You have to repent your sins before God. You have to be sorry for your sins before God. You have to confess your sins before God. This is why David said, “Against You . . .” Against God. “You” here is God. “Against You, You only, have I sinned.” You have committed sins in the course of your life so far, but have you ever confessed those sins before God? Have you ever said, “Lord, I have sinned”? “Lord, I must go to hell because of my sins.” Have you ever repented in this way? Sin must be repented before God. So if you do not repent your sins with an upright heart before God, if you don’t confess your sins, and are not sorry for your sins, there is no hope.

The Bible Is True
“The Bible Is True” is a lecture series in which Pastor Shin-chan Kwon, after realizing the gospel and being born again through the words of the Bible, testifies that the Bible is, in fact, true.

Through his close studies of the Bible, Pastor Kwon clearly explains in these lectures that the history of mankind has been carried out by prophecies and their fulfillment, and furthermore proves that the Bible is true in light of the phenomena occurring in our time.

These “The Bible Is True” lectures are from a week-long conference held in Korea in 1992. For the past 30 years, numerous people not only in Korea but all over the world came to realize the truth of the Bible through these lectures and have been born again through the gospel. To date, these lectures have been translated into 24 languages used in 57 countries and are being used to preach God’s great plan and the love of Jesus Christ to people in many countries all over the world.

Pastor Shin-chan Kwon
Pastor Shin-chan Kwon was ordained as a minister by the laying on of hands in the Presbyterian Church in 1951, but it was not until ten years later that he found the righteousness of God apart from the law, the righteousness which is through faith in Christ Jesus. His conscience thus freed, he dedicated the rest of his life to the task of spreading the gospel, and during those 35 years of untiring effort he guided many lost and searching souls to the light of the truth.
